34" W X 47.5" L X 2" D. This spalted maple slab was an extraordinay find. Adorned with 5 miniature butterfly joints. I had to summon my inlay & marquetry skills to patch the rotted areas as the slab was found in challenging condition.  Black with white resin border. 18" W X 18" L X 2" D. This spalted maple tree slice has great shape and extraordinary character. It's not typical to make a habit of using color in my resins but the translucent gold works well for this piece.  Satin clear coat finish. This piece currently resides in Newport Coast, CA.

The inspiration for this piece comes from my exposure to the sciences (especially paleontology) at the American Musuem of Natural History where my grandmother worked.

13" W X 54" L. X 2" D.  A landscape piece made from inspiring Ziricote wood which only grows in Southern Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. This wood grows so randomly that it's nearly impossible to create a book match, as the grain will agressively change from one slice to the next. Made with white pigmented resin and black 1/4"resin border. Satin clear coat finish.
